Creating has always been part of who I am. Through art, words, and ink, I give shape to the things that move me—my relationship with Jesus, the beauty of nature, and the stories we carry. My own journey has shaped the way I create, with a desire to make work that holds meaning, offers hope, and connects with others.
MY CREATIVE WORK
My creative background spans more than a decade of graphic design, branding, and hand-drawn illustration. I studied at the University of Northwestern–St. Paul, pursuing a major in Graphic Design and a minor in Theology.
I have always been drawn to the power of story. Alongside pouring my heart into art, I’ve spent those years developing my voice through writing and speaking. My own journey has given me a deep passion for healing and for supporting women as they heal from trauma. That care shapes the heart behind my work and my desire to create with meaning, compassion, and hope.
Together, these experiences have shaped the work I focus on today: original artwork, tattooing, and writing. My work is raw and illustrative, with story woven into what I create. Today, I tattoo at Lady Liberty Tattoo in Saint Paul Park, Minnesota, while continuing to create artwork and develop my writing. I also continue to accept occasional speaking engagements.
Each medium gives me a different way to connect with others and make a difference through what I create—something to hang in a home, carry on skin, or encounter on a page. Across them all, I care about thoughtful details and the connection between the work and the person it reaches.
ALWAYS CREATING
Creating has always been at the very foundation of my being.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve known I wanted to be an artist when I grew up.
Becoming the artist I am today has taken strength, endurance, surrender, healing, and overcoming. Through it all, Jesus has continued to shape my heart and the way I use my gifts. Creating is part of my story, and my story is part of what I create.
I have a heart for helping others find hope and healing, especially women who have experienced trauma. That passion also lives through my nonprofit work with ANCHOR 13 STUDIO.
Outside of creating, I’m a wife to CM and mama to a beautiful, fiery daughter. I love being outdoors during Minnesota’s warmer months, hiking with my Great Dane, Atarah, traveling, thrifting/treasure hunting, and finding a little adventure. There is always room for sushi and/or ice cream.
